Chelmer Village Dental is a family-friendly Dental Practice. We welcome children of all ages and our friendly team will always try to ensure it is a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

We recommend bringing your child into the practice from the age of 12 to 18 months, or when milk teeth start to appear. Feeling comfortable sitting in the chair and having the dentist look inside their mouth are already very positive steps for your child.

Regular check-ups every six months or so are a great way to build your child’s confidence and ensure their teeth develop normally.

What does dental care for children consist of?

The dentist will monitor the development of your child’s teeth as they grow. They will give you and your child advice on how to take care of their teeth with good daily brushing habits. We can also help you select a toothbrush and toothpaste that is right for your child.

Making a visit to the dentist part of normal life during childhood is an important advantage that you can give to your child to ensure optimal dental and oral health now and in the future.
